Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury & General Medicine
Facility Overview: We are seeking dedicated physicians to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury examinations in New York. This role encompasses working within various locations across the state including Watertown Albany Rochester Buffalo Syracuse Hornell Ithaca Jamestown and Valhalla emphasizing a commitment to serve our nations veterans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct both interview-based and physical assessments for General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- Perform one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Schedule veterans within your own practice or travel to perform exams at designated facilities.
- Complete Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires and submit within 48 hours after each exam.
- Utilize necessary equipment for evaluations including a Goniometer.
- Document findings and maintain records following office protocols.
- Participate in follow-up administrative tasks including addendums and medical opinions.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neurology Neurosurgery or PM&R.
- Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory cardiovascular and neurological conditions.
- Must have an active and unrestricted full license to practice in New York.
- Capable of conducting evaluations with a focus on musculoskeletal diabetes and cardio health.
- Must own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
Licenses and Certification Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted physician license in New York.
- Board Certification in relevant specialty.
- Certification in DMA training will be required upon hiring.
