Job Description

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will utilize expertise to diagnose mitigate and treat injuries and illnesses in a hospital setting. We are looking for candidates with a commitment to a proactive approach to workplace safety while taking a diplomatic and professional approach to customer interactions.      

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proper injury care disease diagnosis treatment and recovery for patients. 
  • Request necessary tests and schedule follow-up visits as required. 
  • Refer patients to specialists when needed. 
  • Attend and actively participate in various meetings and task force groups to enhance quality outcomes and address communication issues. 
  • Engage in Mass Casualty exercises and events to ensure preparedness and effective response.  
  • Completes required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications :

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

  • Current and unrestricted license from any US State District of Columbia or US Territory to provide healthcare within scope of practice. 
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. 
  • American Heart Association - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is preferred. 
  • Maritime medicine experience and certification is highly desirable. 
  • Hyperbaric medicine experience and certification is highly desirable. 
  • Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent(s) is desired. 
  • DEA License. 

Education Required: 

  • Graduate of an accredited American Academy of Physician Assistants program or 
  • Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program. 
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or a comparable certification body. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. 
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. 
  • May require bending stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. 

Other Special Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to read write & speak English to effectively communicate  
  • This position is unaccompanied.   
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.   
  • US DOD CNACI or the ability to obtain one is required.  
  • A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. 


Additional Information :

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
