Role Description :
This Gas Engine Operator role will be instrumental in supporting the plants reliability and operation support ensuring the safe reliable and efficient operation support of the facility.
The position requires daily on-site presence in Upper Manhattan New York NY 10031
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for all day-to-day maintenance and reliability functions of the facility.
Support the operations team to operate the facility as defined by the O&M contract obligations and detailed in the Plants operating manual.
Develop a strong understanding of all systems and their functions and interfaces.
Investigate mechanical problems open technical cases and interact with the various technical and product support teams.
Maintain a strong QHSE culture at assigned sites including performing frequent quality and safety audits of work.
Performs equipment inspections testing and operational checks.
Prepare equipment parts and tooling for upcoming maintenance activities.
Maintain electronic facility logbook highlighting activities and important events
Communicates regularly with the INNIO Staff Manager for exchange consultation guidance and required approvals.
Maintains good relations with suppliers customers vendors service providers and contractors.
This role supports the operation team with sites coverage during vacations or absences during holidays weekends and night shift when needed.
Maintain site and equipment to manufacturer boundary conditions and cleanliness.
Qualification Requirements:
Experience in service and maintenance of diesel or gas engines and its components in an Auto Tech or Power Generation environment (ie Combustion Fuel Systems Lubrication Systems Cooling Systems etc)
Experience in planning and executing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the engines.
Demonstrate adaptability and resourcefulness in handling unexpected challenges and evolving operational requirements in a dynamic environment
Degree in a technical field is a plus
Fluency in English
U.S. Citizenship or U.S Permanent Work Permit/Resident status
