Job Description
Were hiring a Senior Materials Engineer to support a specialist team Youll work on both research and hands-on projects focusing on polyurethane formulation and adhesive bonding to cable jackets. Youll also assist with the specification and selection of polyurethane mixing machinery.
What youll be doing
- Developing and optimising polyurethane formulations for cable jackets
- Selecting and specifying adhesives and bonding processes
- Supporting the specification and implementation of mixing/dispensing machinery
- Conducting hands-on testing material analysis and R&D activities
- Collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure design integrity
- Ensuring compliance with relevant materials and safety standards
Qualifications :
What were looking for
- Strong engineering background with expertise in materials science
- Experience in polyurethane formulation and adhesive bonding processes
- Hands-on experience with mixing/dispensing equipment desirable
- Ability to work on-site in Alton Hampshire
- UK-based or eligible for SC clearance
