About The Role
We are seeking a Sales Support Associate who will report to the Vice President of Sales in the New York metropolitan area. This role is part of the NYC office that utilizes a hybrid-remote operational model where employees are required to commute to the office two times per week and as needed thereafter. Our Sales Support Associates play an integral in providing our customers great service by supporting our Sales Executives and other team members.
About You
You are an organized individual who is able to collaborate with others while working remotely or in an office. You are extremely process-oriented detail-specific and driven by desire to support each team member and customers. You have experience with data entry customer service and teamwork. You are able to learn systems and technology quickly and handle a fast-paced environment. You have a desire to grow and develop as a skilled member of the sales team.
What You Will Do
Provide support to sales team members and facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other departments while maintaining the day-to-day activities required by the Sales Support Associate. These tasks include but are not limited to accurate data entry helping Sales Account Executives prepare for customer meetings respond to customer inquiries and provide solutions to boost revenue growth and assist the sales teams members customer acquisition and profitability.
Data Entry and Systems
- Create customized line sheets/catalogs for customers.
- Enter customer purchase orders into our system.
- Create order detail sheets to be sent to our factories.
- Create buy sheets for the production team.
- Process and coordinate ticketing jobs with the warehouse.
Team Support
- Assist with the preparation of customer presentations.
- Take clear and concise notes during customer meetings if present.
- Identify areas that support continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate with all departments.
- Provide management and others with data and reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Customer Support
- Establish develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding purchase order updates shipment confirmations and sample requests.
- Possible travel to local appointments and/or out-of-town trade shows.
What You Will Need
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and operates with a high-level of autonomy and attention to detail.
- Takes the initiative to identity tasks beyond your immediate workload.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships within an organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the entire Office 365 application.
- Ability to work asynchronously and synchronously.
- Experience working with hybrid-remote and remote teams.
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in related field or High School Diploma and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Compensation Pay Bands
Sales Support Associate I: $65000 - $75000
