About the role
As a Gen AI/LLM Staff Engineer you will drive the development and production deployment of cutting edge large language model (LLM) solutions. Your work will power Contify s automated information processing and insights extraction processes. You ll partner with product and engineering teams to integrate AI that transforms complex data into actionable intelligence in real-world scenarios.
Job Description
Innovative AI Development:
Design implement and optimize AI models and workflows that leverage
LLMs and generative techniques.
Transform raw text into meaningful insights aligned with business
requirements using modern text embeddings and semantic analysis.
Production-Level Solutions:
Transition projects from early proof-of-concept phases to scalable
production-grade solutions.
Optimize token usage and cost efficiencies when deploying LLM-based
features.
Collaboration and Agile Delivery:
Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to ensure
solutions meet business objectives.
Participate in agile development practices ensuring the timely delivery of
robust high-quality features.
Continuous Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends research and best practices in
Gen AI and LLM technologies.
Represent Contify at industry events and contribute to thought leadership in
generative AI.
Requirements
Skills and Experience
Passion for AI Innovation:
You are a highly motivated GenAI/LLM researcher/engineer with a
strong background in AI/ML and software development.
Your expertise drives practical solutions that automate information
processing and enable clear actionable insights.
Deep Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of how large language models (LLMs) work and
their underlying architectures.
Expertise in modern text embeddings and advanced NLP techniques
for semantic analysis.
Production Engineering:
Demonstrated experience in designing implementing and optimizing
AI models that have reached full production deployment beyond
simple prototypes or POCs.
Hands-on with techniques to optimize token usage and manage costs
in LLM-based applications.
Agile and Collaborative:
Proven track record working in agile development environments with
a focus on timely high-quality delivery.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to drive
impactful results.
Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science with 2 years of hands-on
experience in coding and web development.
At least one year of relevant experience in Gen AI/LLM with a strong focus on
generative AI and large language models.
Proven self-starter who can see the big picture and prioritize work to drive
the most impact.
Contributions to open-source projects or thought leadership through
publications and industry events are a plus.
Current Tech Stack
We use Python FastAPI and Django as our primary tools; and the PostgreSQL
database.
We use Llama and OpenAI models and continuously evaluate new LLMs for
specific use cases.
Angular AngularJS React and jQuery for client-side magic.
AWS as the cloud provider.
Apache Solr & Elasticsearch for search
OS - Ubuntu Linux.
We love trying out new things and are open to adopting new
tools/frameworks.
