Job Summary

Were seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in a hybrid role based in Cary NC. This position requires 2 days onsite each week with the flexibility to work remotely or in office the rest of the time. You will play a pivotal role in supporting a primarily remote workforce of 200250 employees across the U.S. covering our Field Services (Stone Category) Engineering and Supply Chain teams within our Surface Solutions Business Unit. 

About the Role 

As the Human Resources Manager youll lead strategic HR initiatives and serve as a trusted partner to leaders across the business. This role is critical in guiding and developing a distributed indirect workforce and ensuring our companys people-first culture thrivesno matter the location. Youll be backed by a centralized shared services model for compliance leave payroll and talent acquisition support. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Champion our culture by promoting our core values: Safety Integrity and Inclusion. 

  • Provide proactive HR support to a distributed workforce across multiple states and time zones covering the entire employee cycle from recruiting to retirement.  

  • Serve as a strategic partner to front line mid-level and Sr level leaders by supporting workforce planning team development succession planning and organizational design. 

  • Help leaders drive a high-performance culture by supporting and advancing incentive plan structure recognition programs performance management and learning development.   

  • Perform daily and routine HR responsibilities including compliance adherence onboarding performance management and employee relations. 

  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to drive growth upskilling and leadership development. 

  • Support engagement initiatives DE&I efforts and organizational communications across the remote population. 

  • Ensure accurate HRIS data and create strategic business centered reporting to help leaders make data driven people decisions. Must be skilled at finding organizing and interpreting data from a variety of sources and tools. Proficient in Excel and Power BI strongly preferred.  

  • Contribute to HR Strategic Initiative Projects with cross-functional teams that span across the Surface Solutions Business Unit or the enterprise through a variety of project management methods.   

  • Oversee compliance with federal state and local laws in partnership with our shared services partners. 

  • Drive and support community engagement initiatives through CBB Cares programs. 


Qualifications :

Education: 

  • Bachelors degree in organizational development Human Resources Business Administration or a related field. 

Experience: 

  • 6 years in progressive HR Management experience in a Manufacturing/Production or Construction industry preferred. 

  • Proven HR leadership experience preferably in a multi-site or remote workforce environment. 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Working knowledge of employment and labor laws such as FMLA ADA FLSA EEO etc. and a high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality when required. 

  • Must have experience with HR systems and be able to create and manipulate HRIS reporting that supports the business need. 

  • Training and presentation experience both virtually and in person to a wide range of employee experience levels to facilitate onboarding compliance leadership or other HR related training courses when needed. 

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with proven experience in strategy development and problem solving. 

  • Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to management employees corporate personnel and vendors/suppliers. 

  • Excellent analytical problem resolution negotiating and project management skills. 

  • Strong organizational skills: and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet established and changing deadlines.

  • Potential need to travel up to 15%
