As a member of our team you will play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently from start to finish.


Position Summary

The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for entering reviewing and managing customer orders in our system. This role ensures that orders are processed promptly and accurately supporting both customer satisfaction and internal operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter customer orders into the internal order management system

  • Verify order details including pricing product codes shipping information and customer data

  • Communicate with internal departments (sales logistics customer service) to resolve discrepancies or confirm order requirements

  • Monitor order progress and follow up on backorders delays or special requests

  • Respond to order-related inquiries from customers or internal teams in a timely manner

  • Maintain organized records of all order activity

  • Assist with order reporting and process improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to order processing

  • Support other administrative or clerical tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred

  • 1 2 years of experience in order entry customer service or administrative support

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent data entry and typing skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Experience with order management systems or ERP platforms (e.g. SAP NetSuite QuickBooks) is a plus

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
