Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking Occupational Therapists to provide Occupational Therapy Services in a school district in Montgomery County Virginia. The Occupational Therapist will provide appropriate therapy services to students through evaluations observations and consultations.

Requirements:
Master s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Current Virginia Board of Medicine Occupational Therapy license.
Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination.
Experience in a school setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assess referred students for special education through appropriate testing and diagnostic practice.
Interpret testing results and implications to school staff parents and students as needed.
Write occupational therapy reports and complete eligibility reports.
Confer with teachers and parents through conducting classroom observations and provide feedback.
Participate in student support meetings and assist in collaborative problem-solving.
Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
Maintain positive professional relationships with students parents staff and the public.
Other duties as assigned.
