Job Description

Join Our Illinois Team as a SLPa!

As an Assistant Speech Therapist you will support a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy services to students in a school setting. Your role involves implementing treatment plans facilitating therapy sessions and assisting in identifying and addressing speech and language challenges to help students succeed.

Your day-to-day will include maintaining accurate session notes tracking student progress and sharing detailed feedback with the supervising SLP. You ll conduct both individual and small-group therapy sessions in compliance with state guidelines assist with initial screenings and implement targeted interventions to address each student s unique needs.

Collaboration will be key you ll partner with teachers families and school staff to create a strong network of support. Guided by the supervising SLP you ll help students build essential communication skills so they can thrive in the classroom and in social settings.

Position Highlights:

Requirements

  1. Active SLPA license or certification in Illinois.
  2. Master s degree in Communication Disorders or a related field.
  3. Previous experience working with children (school-based experience preferred).
