Our client an Am Law 100 firm is seeking a full-time Restructuring Insolvency & Bankruptcy Paralegal to join its team in either the Los Angeles or New York office. This position will support both local attorneys and the national Restructuring Insolvency & Bankruptcy Practice Group. The role reports to the Practice Group Leader and works under the direction of attorneys and senior paraprofessionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly interim and final fee applications court filings and bankruptcy-specific documentation
Conduct lien searches and assist with analysis; support preparation of schedules and statements of financial affairs
Prepare and reconcile Proofs of Claim and related claim schedules
Track statutory and case deadlines prepare related memoranda
Ensure compliance with local rules in relevant jurisdictions
Collaborate with clients and financial advisors to prepare monthly operating reports
Manage the preparation distribution and certification of ballot packages; create charts and tally reports
Support other assignments and projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
4-10 years of experience in bankruptcy law preferably in a law firm setting
Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures filings and court rules
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite PDF tools document management systems and timekeeping software (Elite or similar)
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work overtime as needed
