Role: Data Lead Enterprise Data Engineering (Banking Sector)
Experience Required: 10 years

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Lead with deep expertise in ETL frameworks data lake architecture and Apache Iceberg. This role requires someone with strong hands-on technical capabilities leadership in designing scalable data pipelines and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and optimize large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Implement data lake solutions using Apache Iceberg on cloud-native platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
- Ensure data governance version control schema evolution and ACID compliance using Iceberg.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists Architects and Product teams to understand business requirements.
- Monitor data pipeline performance and drive improvements and optimizations.
- Perform data quality checks audits and documentation.
- Solid expertise in Apache Iceberg and data lake table formats (Delta Lake Hudi etc. but primarily Iceberg).
Qualifications :
Required Qualification:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Data Science or Data Analytics.
- 10 years of hands-on experience in ETL SQL Data Lakes and Hadoop.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong understanding of banking data domains (e.g. customer transaction credit risk).
- Experience with data governance metadata management and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and data orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell).
