Job Summary
Join our Engineering Department in a dynamic role blending project leadership and hands-on engineering support for mining operations. The Surface Engineer/Project Manager is instrumental in maintaining and optimizing refuse sites fan and electrical sites pipe and pump stations water-handling pond dipping etc. Your strong teamwork communication and technical instincts will help drive efficiency and safety across our operations.
Qualifications :
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead project planning: develop scopes of work bidding and oversee project execution.
- Manage budgets effectivelytrack costs and help ensure projects are delivered within financial guidelines.
- Oversee site management and development for refuse sites fan sites shaft sites and pump houses.
- Conduct site and pond inspections to ensure regulatory and operational standards are met.
- Perform material take-offs.
- Invoicing
- Scheduling
- Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline operations through research and innovation.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of project management experience (PE is a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Project
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Background in civil or mine engineering
- Construction management experience highly valued
- Auto-CAD (preferred)
Education
- Bachelors degree in civil or mining engineering preferred but not required
- Relevant experience in construction management or similar practical roles is equally welcome.
