Responsibilities
Project Management
- Assist in planning and executing material testing projects to meet client specifications and deadlines.
- Coordinate with project managers and other engineers to ensure alignment on project objectives.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance and support during the testing process to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Review and validate laboratory testing methods and results for accuracy and reliability.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings methodologies and recommendations.
- Present test results to stakeholders including clients and project teams in a clear and concise manner.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure testing accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in lab accreditation processes and audits to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Equipment Management
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and recommend improvements to testing procedures and equipment as necessary.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address project challenges and provide solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols within the laboratory environment.
- Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety among team members.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Materials Science or a related field.
- 1 years of experience in material testing or a similar engineering role.
- Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift samples weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Pass drug and background screening tests.
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. 1+ years of experience in material testing or a similar engineering role. Certifications: FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification required; PE (Professional Engineer) license is a preferred. Industry certifications (e.g., ACI, NICET, DOT certifications) are a plus. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to lift samples weighing up to 75+ pounds. Pass drug and background screening tests. Must speak English.
