Amazons Compensation team is seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to provide strategic compensation support to our fast growing teams. As a Senior Compensation Consultant you will be responsible for delivering on the compensation needs in Amazons global teams through strategic analytical and consulting services. You will work directly with the HR and Business leadership to build and evolve compensation programs that directly support the businesss strategic objectives and provide hands-on assistance related to all areas of compensation analysis.
We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-moving environment and are comfortable dealing with ambiguity. You must have a passion to work with complex data and be detailed and accurate from start to finish in developing programs and completing projects. The successful candidate will proactively partner with client-facing HR Business Partners and Business leadership to identify and address compensation issues and evangelize Amazons Total Compensation philosophy and strategy.
Key job responsibilities Support HR teams in implementing compensation strategies for specific functional areas Lead compensation projects by gathering data conducting basic analysis and program implementation Analyze existing compensation programs under guidance to assess effectiveness and competitiveness Collaborate with regional compensation partners on local issues Provide basic advice on compensation components following established guidelines Help maintain documentation and contribute to compensation playbooks Actively explore to integrate AI in day to day functioning as well as deploy established Amazon AI tools
- A Bachelors degree is required. Graduate degree preferred - Minimum of 5 years experience in finance compensation or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices - General compensation knowledge required
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees within the organization - Secondary beyond English language proficiency highly preferred - Proficiency in Excel Macros; familiarity with SQL Power BI Power Pivot and Tableau experience is preferred - Strong problem solving communication and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player - Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data. Ability to connect disparate data sources and operationalize tasks. Comfortable with large data sets - The ability to work independently take on responsibility and be nimble in a fast-paced change-oriented environment - Experience enhancing and/or implementing compensation systems and reporting tools
