Job Summary

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Information Technology Technician to provide comprehensive technical support across a diverse campus environment. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of IT support experience strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to deliver exceptional services across hardware software networking and audiovisual (AV) technologies. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment collaborates effectively with team members and ensures a seamless technology experience for end users.

Key Responsibilities

End-User Support:

  • Provide frontline support for faculty staff and students across desktops laptops mobile devices printers and classroom AV equipment.
  • Respond to incidents service requests and escalations in a timely manner through the ITSM ticketing system.
  • Assist with account management password resets software installations and configuration tasks.

Technical Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware software and connectivity issues across multiple platforms.
  • Support Microsoft 365 Windows operating systems and enterprise applications.
  • Provide AV support for conferencing tools classroom technologies and event setups.

System & Equipment Maintenance:

  • Install configure and maintain end-user devices imaging tools and peripheral equipment.
  • Ensure timely patching updates and security compliance for all supported devices.
  • Document troubleshooting steps fixes and knowledge base content to support continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with senior technicians network administrators and system engineers on escalated issues.
  • Communicate technical solutions clearly and professionally to non-technical users.
  • Contribute to team meetings project initiatives and campus-wide IT support efforts.

Qualifications :

Required Competencies:

  • 3 years of IT support/help desk experience in a professional or campus environment.
  • On-site at FLETC Brunswick GA.

Proficiency in:

  • Windows operating systems and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Endpoint management tools and imaging solutions.
  • AV technologies (e.g. Teams Crestron projectors digital signage).
  • Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN Wi-Fi).
  • Strong troubleshooting customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience working with ITSM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow Jira Service Management Cherwell).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
  • CompTIA A Network or other relevant IT certifications.
  • Experience supporting higher education or enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) remote support tools and cybersecurity best practices.

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • An active Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

 

Salary Range:

The expected pay range for this position is up to $55000 $65000k yearly. The pay rate will vary based on skills experience and location.
