Job Description
Prepares medication orders for review by a pharmacist. Maintains an accurate current census including cassette bin labels for all assigned areas
Responsibilities
an accurate current census including cassette bin labels for all assigned areas
adequate inventory at all times
reusable medications to stock before the end of the shift
fills unit-dose cassettes and performs statistical count of all doses dispensed
all required deliveries and other patient care area rounds in a timely fashion
medications as per departmental policy
parenteral products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
labels and affixes to product as required
required signatures when conducting controlled substance deliveries
effective exchange of unit-dose cassettes as per established schedules
checks for and removes expired medications from inventory
all required documentation
work environment in a clean neat and orderly fashion
all required functions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a technician training program or equivalent experience (as determined by the Director).

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $37.38 - $37.38 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
