Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Floor Technician to join our facilities team. This role involves traveling to multiple job sites to maintain clean and restore various types of flooring using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented safety-conscious and able to work independently while representing the company in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
Travel daily to assigned job sites to perform floor care services.
Operate and maintain floor cleaning machines such as buffers scrubbers strippers polishers and vacuums.
Perform stripping waxing buffing and refinishing of hard-surface flooring.
Deep clean and extract carpets using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper function and cleanliness.
Follow all safety procedures including use of PPE and chemical handling protocols.
Communicate with supervisors and site contacts to confirm job requirements and completion.
Maintain logs of work performed supplies used and report any issues or repairs needed.
Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1 2 years of experience as a floor technician custodian or janitorial staff preferred.
Ability to operate and maintain commercial floor cleaning equipment.
Valid driver s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement or company vehicle may be provided).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: Full-time; flexible shifts depending on client needs (evenings/weekends may be required).
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate.
