About Rise Together Fund (RTF) and Rise Together Action Fund (RTAF)
The RISE Together Fund (RTF) and RISETogether Action Fund (RTAF) support cutting-edge Black African Arab Middle Eastern Muslim and South Asian (BAMEMSA) field-led work. RTF bolsters its national grantmaking with programming field building and technical assistance to build and expand the capacity of the BAMEMSA movement toward racial gender queer and disability justice and a fully inclusive and representative democracy. Since 2008 RTF has funded directly impacted voices to lead policy and social change in BAMEMSA communities. RTF is the first and only national donor collaborative dedicated to supporting the critical work of BAMEMSA individuals and organizations facing anti-Muslim targeting hate crimes and xenophobia.RTFs grantees span 22 states and since 2008 RTF has granted more than $30 million and reached more than 500 organizations. Job Summary
Under the supervision of the RISE Together Fund (RTF) Program Director the Program Associate provides critical operational logistical and administrative support to the RTF team to ensure efficient completion of the teams objectives including supporting all aspects of RTFsgrantmaking activities program development capacity and field building efforts and grantee and funder partner convenings.
Essential Functions
- Manage Program Directors calendaring and scheduling and provide support for Program Directors internal an external meetings including keeping track of actions.
- Support team wide scheduling and calendaring.
- Support teamwide meetings including agenda execution and tracking actions.
- Support the Director with other administrative needs including preparing responses to phone or email inquiries when necessary; responding to regularly occurring requests for information; managing Directors travel; completing expense reports and credit card reconciliation.
- Maintain and update databases and files including donor and grantee information MailChimp lists meeting notes and other document templates.
- Support the Program Officers and Capacity Building Officer with all administrative and logistical needs associated with the RISE Organizing listserv field calls and rapid response activities including scheduling note-taking audio-visuals and agenda ideation amongst other activities.
- Working with the Communications and Partnerships teams help write and edit promotional materials and other communications for RTF including grantee stories and website/social media updates. Draft edit and design correspondence using MailChimp to send e-blasts to external audiences including invitations to briefings announcements and key updates.
- With the Grants Management and RTF program officers support the grant making process including the management of the grantmaking schedule and process. Help facilitate and support open call grantmaking opportunities as well as longer-term grantmaking.
- Support the team in drafting and inputting RTF contracts and work with external contractors and the finance team to ensure contract execution and payment.
- Deeply support execution of grantee and funder partner convenings and gatherings.
- In collaboration with the Director monitor the annual budget and ensure timely payment requests including contractor payments grantee stipends and reimbursements.
- Act as a liaison with other departments such as Grants Management Donor Services and Finance. Handle confidential information.
- Represent the RTF team at external events in-person or virtually such as government hearings grantee and philanthropic events and reports findings back to the team.

Education and Experience

Position Type & Schedule/Hours
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Business hours are Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm in the time zone where the candidate is located. Additional hours are occasionally required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel
This position requires occasional travel estimated at 510% including participation in Proteus Funds all-staff retreats and other job-related travel such as team meetings donor convenings or training opportunities. Most travel will be planned in advance and may involve overnight stays.
Work Environment
REMOTE:This position works indoors and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Most of the work will be performed remotely which requires a dedicated workspace.
Physical Requirements
This position is largely sedentary with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; however some movement may be required depending on the specific job duties. This position requires the ability to: operate a computer daily as well as other home- or in-office devices such as a copier or printer as needed; communicate effectively with coworkers and external parties including - for example - via email phone and/or video conferencing; and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Compensation
The starting salary for this role is $ and is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location skill set level years of previous/applicable experience and Proteus Funds commitment to ensuring pay equity within the organization. The recruiting team will share more details regarding salary bands based on the candidates specific geographic location as well as the other factors noted above. Salary is one part of the total compensation that Proteus Fund provides to employees.
