The Associate Dean provides leadership for all campus level faculty to ensure curricula are current and consistently delivered in an environment and manner that achieves superior student outcomes while ensuring the concept of Chamberlain Care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the recruitment selection onboarding and performance evaluation of qualified faculty and staff ensuring alignment with institutional standards and goals.
- Ensure learning experiences align with the BSN curriculum and collaborate with national teams and academic committees to implement strategic goals and projects.
- Design and execute comprehensive student success plans focused on retention graduation rates and NCLEX pass rates including individualized and group mentoring for NCLEX preparation.
- Deliver targeted NCLEX review sessions and participate in teaching assignments as neededclassroom instruction lab facilitation and clinical supervisionto support academic excellence.
- Foster student satisfaction and collaborate with local and national partners to drive superior student outcomes.
- Evaluate course resources and assessment data each session providing recommendations to enhance campus student success plans.
- Support faculty in implementing timely changes that address evolving student needs and ensure delivery of course and program outcomes.
- Promote teaching and learning best practices through regular faculty evaluation and feedback serving as a mentor in academic excellence customer service collaboration communication and professionalism.
- Establish and monitor faculty participation in national course advisory councils ensuring meaningful curriculum feedback and delivery decisions.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop academic budgets and prepare capital requests for learning areas in partnership with campus leadership and national teams.
- Support clinical coordination teams in securing clinical placements that meet nursing program objectives.
- Facilitate regular meetings with faculty and academic teams to promote communication and collaborative curriculum planning implementation and evaluation.
- Assign faculty and academic team workloads to ensure balanced and effective program delivery.
- Partner with national academic teams to consistently execute core CAS programs and develop local programming to support student success.
- Collaborate with national library staff to manage local holdings and ensure resource availability.
- Monitor and analyze student academic success data to identify opportunities for curriculum improvement and targeted student interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements including serving as the designated point of contact assistant program director or program director as approved by the state board of nursing. Act as liaison between local/state agencies and national college teams for regulatory matters.
- Serve as a designated Campus Security Authority and perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all institutional policies and standards.
Qualifications :
Education
- Masters degree in Nursing required
- Doctorate degree in Nursing or progress toward a doctorate preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in nursing education at the bachelors level or higher required
- Minimum of 2 years developing or participating in simulation and clinical experiences required
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to lead direct and advise faculty required
- 3 to 5 years in acute patient care trauma emergency and/or medical-surgical environments preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proven customer service orientation with the ability to engage effectively with students faculty and staff
- Unencumbered professional nursing licensure required
Additional Information :
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected salary range for this position is between $70696.34 and $127957.05. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
