As Foodservice Manager you play a vital role in the wellbeing of our residents by providing high-quality safe and appetising meals that meet our residents individual nutrition needs.
As part of our leadership team you will also be responsible for the overall smooth and efficient running of the kitchen service including supply and budget requirements team management (including roster coordination) compliance with our Food Control Plan and collaboration with kitchen staff to deliver a first-class experience for our residents. The role requires excellent technical skills and food creativity and will be cooking alongise the kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for the management of the cafe menu and the team within the cafe.
Our Attitude of Living Well approach is an important philosophy at Arvida and you will work alongside other team members across the organisation to practice and promote Eating Well setting goals and taking steps to meet our internal gold standard.
Qualifications :
To tatou kaitono pai What you bring
- Relevant skills and Experience
- Current NZ Food Safety Certificate.
- At least 3 years experience as Head Cook Chef or Kitchen Manager within the aged care industry or a similar environment
- Good level of computer literacy including Excel and Outlook.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Leadership style that inspires and motivates with a management approach that creates a harmonious and effective team culture.
- Ability to manage a budget.
- Flexibility adaptability and able to work well under pressure with good time management.
- Empathy towards older adults good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Honesty reliability and integrity.
- Creative and open-minded.
