Job Description
Lumino Nelson a leading dental practice in Nelson New Zealand is seeking a professional and organized Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual this role you will provide exceptional support to our dentists and ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Assist dentists during dental procedures by preparing operatories sterilizing instruments and providing necessary materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to strict infection control protocols
- Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and supportive manner ensuring their comfort throughout their visit
- Manage patient records and dental charts with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling billing inquiries
- Operate and maintain dental equipment ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness
Please note this is for a casual DA position to support our current Dental Assistants. No regular hours or days are guaranteed at this time.
Qualifications :
- Dental assisting certification or relevant training is required
- Previous experience working in a dental office is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and dental staff
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures
- Proficiency in dental software and equipment is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
