Job Description
Job Summary
Were seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Officer to join our team in the cocoa sustainability industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in collecting analyzing and interpreting data related to cocoa sustainability initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain experience in data management and analysis in the sustainability sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection: Collect and compile data from various sources including farm surveys monitoring reports and other relevant documents.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data using statistical software and tools to identify trends patterns and insights related to cocoa sustainability.
- Data Visualization: Create data visualizations such as charts graphs and maps to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and accuracy by conducting regular data checks and validation.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders including donors partners and farmers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sustainability agronomy and farm management to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
Academic Qualification:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as data science statistics mathematics computer science or sustainability.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in statistical software and tools such as MS Excel R Python or SPSS.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: Some experience in data collection analysis and visualization preferably in the sustainability or agricultural sector.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
