Job Description

The Finance Associate will support the Finance Department with core financial operations and ensuring robust inventory and asset management. The role involves account reconciliation receivables collections management reporting compliance and detailed oversight of motorcycles tricycles spare parts and operational assets. This position requires accuracy attention to detail and strong coordination across Finance Operations and FBG (Fulfilled by Gamma).



Key Responsibilities

A. Inventory & Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate records of all motorcycles tricycles spare parts and other operational assets.
  • Update Asset Infinity with real-time asset movements conditions and statuses.
  • Ensure all assets are properly documented and registered in the Odoo Accounting System.
  • Record and update asset allocations to customers supporting Operations and Customer Acquisition teams.
  • Reconcile system records with physical stock to prevent and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct scheduled and spot-check asset counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Report missing damaged or underutilized assets to the Inventory Lead.
  • Support the Inventory Lead in preparing asset verification and audit reports.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for inventory and asset management.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to minimize losses and improve operational efficiency.

B. FBG Finance Responsibilities

  1. Account Reconciliation
  • Perform regular reconciliations of FBG Partners accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  1. Receivables & Invoicing
  • Monitor outstanding receivables from FBG Partners.
  • Prepare and dispatch invoices on time.
  • Track payment status and escalate overdue accounts as needed.
  1. Collections Management
  • Oversee daily collections for FBG operations.
  • Ensure collections data is accurate and complete.
  • Prepare and circulate daily and periodic collection reports.
  1. Real-Time Payments & POS Confirmations
  • Monitor real-time payments by customers through POS and other payment channels.
  • Confirm POS transactions and liaise with riders agents and stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
  1. Financial Reporting
  • Collaborate with the FBG Lead on financial reporting.
  • Prepare reports covering revenue collections performance and receivables.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Provide insights to support decision-making and business performance improvement.
  1. Regulatory Compliance
  • Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare schedules reconciliations and documentation for statutory audits.
  1. Other Finance Projects & Assigned Tasks
  • Participate in ad hoc finance projects as assigned by the Finance Lead.
  • Provide cross-functional support to ensure smooth finance operations.


Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor s degree in accounting Finance or related field.
  • 1 3 years of work experience in finance inventory or asset management.
  • Prior experience with Asset Infinity and Odoo is a strong advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-location environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Progress towards a professional certification (ACA ACCA CFA) is an added advantage.
