Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pemba this pivotal role you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our organizations IT infrastructure while leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Architect and implement robust IT solutions to support business objectives
- Lead complex technical projects from conception to completion
- Analyze and optimize existing IT systems for improved performance and efficiency
- Develop and enforce IT policies procedures and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and systems
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff
- Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to protect against cyber threats
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and products
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT engineering roles with a proven track record of success
- Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure including networks servers and storage systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java Python or C
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or Google Cloud)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent project management abilities and experience leading technical teams
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CISSP CCNA AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity best practices and IT governance frameworks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Willingness to adapt to the local work culture in Pemba Mozambique
