Job Description
Our client is a global manufacturing company a market leader in maritime sector manufacturing marine capital order to grow the organization and strengthen its engineering team in Far East Asia region our client wants to recruit a :
Service Engineer
(Based in Busan)
ORGANISATION:
You will be reporting to the Senior Manager in Korea you will be in charge of providing both onsite (shipyards) and offsite service and support to customers to resolve any operational issues on the company installed equipment in Korea and Far East Asia region. This is a hands-on role requiring you to work addition you are responsible for customer relationship management and pre-sales activity in Korea and Far East Asia region.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation commissioning validation and maintenance of capital equipment onsite (shipyards) and at the company workshop.
- Serve as a customer-facing technical engineer. Work in collaboration with APAC based expert technicians and clients.
- Building relationships with existing customers and developing relationship with new customers together with the Sales Manager from APAC region.
- Create and maintain installation data service information and repair log in the company enterprise database.
Requirements
- Degree in Marine Mechanical Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering is a must
- Technical experience in repairs maintenance and commissioning work in marine or shipping or offshore industry.
- Experience working on machinery or equipment s like engines gearboxes or propulsion systems will be an added advantage.
- You are entrepreneurial and can drive the service business in Korea and Far East Asia for the client.
- You have good analytical skills with the ability to solve challenging problems at the customer end.
- You have good communication ability to work independently and hands-on.
- You need to travel internationally to support projects (occasionally) and in Korea (frequently).
