Role: AM / DM - Land Acquisition
Location: Karnataka (Gadag)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement land acquisition strategies for renewable energy projects
Identify potential land parcels for renewable energy projects and evaluate their suitability
Secure approvals and permits from state-level and central agencies including state nodal agencies MOD AAI forest mining sanctuaries etc.
Work closely with legal team and firm to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations including NA permissions
Identify law firms and agencies and work with them for due diligence on potential land acquisitions environmental assessments and zoning requirements.
Handle end to end land acquisition process including all the statutory norms clearances rules regulations and policies
Negotiate land purchase agreements with landowners land aggregators local communities and government agencies at Central and State level
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including landowners local communities and government official
Manage teams of land acquisition professionals provide guidance and support to ensure successful completion of projects
Collaborate with other departments such as legal project management wind resource assessment construction and finance to ensure timely and successful completion of land acquisition efforts
Budgeting of projects with regard to land acquisition
Analyse grid network including future expansions to assess potential areas for setting up renewable energy projects.
Apply for and secure evacuation permits.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience of 6 years in land acquisition for Renewable projects
Deep understanding of land acquisition laws processes documentation negotiation and contract management.
Experience of Land acquisition in multiple states largely in Western and Southern part of India.
Experience working with landowners local communities and government and nodal agencies.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage a team and provide guidance and support to team members.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Electrical engineer / knowledge will be an asset
Must be willing to travel extensively around 2 weeks in a month.
