Job Description
Senior Care Practitioner Nights. St Helens Hall Care Home
- Hourly Rate: £14.45 per hour
- Shift: 3-4 nights per week 8pm-8am
- Contracted Hours: 38.5 hours per week

At St Helens Hall nights are a time for calm comfort and care. You’ll be part of a team that empowers residents to maintain choice and control over their lives even after the sun sets. Our experienced Home Manager Amanda started as a Care Assistant here in 2008 and now leads a team committed to excellence.
As a Night Senior Care Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Completing necessary training and ongoing professional development
- Providing personal care supporting residents’ nighttime routines and assisting with individual needs
- Offering emotional support and companionship during the night
- Ensuring residents feel safe secure and comfortable throughout the night
- Maintaining high care standards and a calm environment
- Supervising and supporting the night staff team including conducting appraisals maintaining records liaising with external professionals and assisting with recruitment

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
What We Are Looking For:
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a residential or nursing home setting
- A warm and caring personality with a passion for supporting others
- A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to work towards one)
- Confidence in using technology and maintaining accurate records
- Resilience and the ability to provide guidance under pressure
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of our residents during night shifts
