Job Description
Shanghai Arete Bilingual School is a reputable K12 IB school in Shanghai
Job Responsibilities:
- To teach the curriculum established by the school/IBO integrating the curriculum with the school s Educational Objectives;
- To take the responsibility of designing lesson plans that demonstrate a clear connection between instruction and the curriculum established by the school selecting and using school-approved teaching strategies and classroom resources implementing teaching research;
- To provide a stimulating and effective learning environment for the students in supporting their learning encouraging students creative thinking and promote critical inquiry;
- To maintain close partnership with parents colleagues and the community;
- To provide both written reports (termly) and informal communications (where required) to parents on the growth progress and attainment of the students;
- To Create a safe orderly and supportive classroom atmosphere that is conducive to effective teaching and learning;
- Other duties as reasonably required by the Head of High School;
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Education preferred
- Teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years full time teaching experience in an International school
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team in planning and implementing the school s curriculum strategic plans and policies
- Strong interests in leading extra-curricula programme
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Personal integrity and professional ethics
