Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Elementary School Homeroom Teacher specializing in English Language and Transdisciplinary Inquiry. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and inquiry-based learning environment for young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging English language and transdisciplinary inquiry lessons for elementary students.
Assess student progress provide constructive feedback and maintain academic records.
Create a positive classroom environment managing behavior effectively.
Serve as a homeroom teacher offering pastoral care and individualized student support.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development.
Participate in extracurricular activities (clubs field trips school events).
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives.
Engage in professional development (workshops observations training).
Assist with student recruitment accreditation and school events (occasional weekend work required).
Requirements
Bachelor s degree or higher (Education English or related field preferred).
Teaching certification (PGCE state license or equivalent is an advantage).
Minimum 2 years of elementary teaching experience.
Experience with IB PYP IPC or inquiry-based learning is highly desirable.
Familiarity with language assessment tools (MAPS Raz-Kids Cambridge YLE) is a plus.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
