Job Description

Develop and implement ETL solutions

Design and build DataStage jobs to extract transform and load data from various sources into target data warehouses or data marts

Focus on data warehousing and data integration projects ensuring data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analytics

Optimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processing

Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworks

Work with business analysts data architects and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions

May be involved in providing support for existing DataStage jobs in production including troubleshooting and resolving issues

Strong proficiency in using DataStage for ETL development

Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle

Deep understanding of ETL concepts data warehousing principles and data integration best practices

Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems including scripting (e.g. Unix Shell Scripting)

Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques

Experience working in agile environments and potentially with DevOps practices

IBM InfoSphere DataStage

Unix Shell Scripting and text processing tools

MySQL

6-8 years of experience

Datastage developer
