Virtualization Expert - VMware- Banking

VAM Systems is currently looking for Virtualization Expert for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and maintain virtualized environments for optimal performance and  

uptime

2.           Perform regular backups snapshots and disaster recovery.

3.           Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related issues

4.           Integrate virtualization solutions with existing infrastructure

5.           Manage provisioning deployment and management of virtual machines

6.           Implement and enforce security best practices for virtual environments

7.           Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning

8.           Collaborate with vendors and support teams for upgrades

9.           Document configurations procedures and policies related to virtualization

10.        Provide technical support and training on virtualization tools and technologies

11.        Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations

12.        Proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving

13.        Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

14.        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

15.        Effective communication skills both verbal and written

Requirements:

1.           Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field

2.           Proven experience as a Virtualization Engineer or similar role

3.           Proficiency with VMware KVM or other virtualization technologies

4.           Strong understanding of virtual machine management and provisioning

5.           Experience with backup recovery and disaster recovery.

6.           Knowledge of storage systems network connectivity and server management

7.           Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

8.           Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning for virtual environments

9.           Familiarity with security best practices for virtualization

10.        Excellent communication and collaboration skills

11.        Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

12.        Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

13.        Experience with automation tools and frameworks for virtualization

14.        Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies

15.        Understanding of licensing and regulatory compliance related to virtualized systems

16.        Professionalism and attention to detail in documentation and procedures
