Job Summary:
Provides supervision and support to students in various campus settings to ensure safety discipline and positive behavior. Monitors school grounds and activities assists with behavior management and responds to safety concerns as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in hallways cafeterias buses field trips and common areas.
- De-escalate behavioral issues and assist with maintaining student discipline as needed.
- Patrol school grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Escort students as requested and report incidents or hazards promptly.
- Documents behavior incidents and files reports promptly.
- Respond to staff parents and community concerns professionally.
- Attend required meetings trainings and maintain certifications (e.g. CPR/First Aid).
- Collaborate with staff to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent preferred; experience with adolescents required.
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to follow procedures remain calm under pressure and handle unpredictable situations.
- Basic computer skills; ability to use email and word processing tools.
- Must meet District certification requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to walk stand and lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally more).
- May be exposed to outdoor weather bodily fluids and moderate to high noise levels.
Work Environment:
Standard school setting including indoor and outdoor areas. May involve exposure to various environmental conditions and challenging behaviors.
