A Day in the Life

    Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) offers devices and therapies that help treat patients with Peripheral Embolization Carotid Artery Disease Superficial and Deep Venous Diseases enabling clinicians to perform procedures with superior outcomes.

    The Sr Engineering Program Manager represents Operations as the Core Team Operations Representative (CTOR) and is the primary Operations interface to the New Product Development Core team. This is a highly visible and impactful role leading a global operations team responsible for shaping the manufacturing architecture to successfully develop and launch new products to meet cost quality and supply goals for the business.

    A Day in The Life Of:

    The Sr Engineering Program Manager (CTOR) will provide program leadership to drive strategic and tactical activities for operations on New Product Development Core team.

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

    • Lead the Extended Operations Team comprising of Process Development Supply Management Manufacturing Engineering Packaging and Supply Chain to ensure on-time and on-budget performance through the new product development cycle.
    • Strong communicator with the ability to lead and Influence between Extended Operations Team members and Core Team.
    • Champion the Voice of Operations (VOO) as well as drive planning and execution to ensure scope schedule and budget alignment between operations and core team functions.
    • Track and Manage Operations KPIs such as Predictive LBMs Predictive RTYs Capacity Planning & BOM Readiness.
    • Demonstrate technical leadership and strong financial acumen with managing direct expenses and capital.
    • Lead Design Transfer and Commercial Build Readiness to ensure quality system compliance to achieve production readiness and successful product launches.
    • Coach and develop extended Operations members to help individuals advance their skills and careers.
    • Integrate Design for Reliability & Manufacturability (DRM) during product development as well as ensure structured problem methods and predictive engineering principles are consistently and rigorously applied.
    • Skilled negotiator with demonstrated ability to create mutually beneficial results and negotiate trade-offs.
    • Partner within the Operating Unit (OU) & Global Operations and supply chain (GO-SC) to grow and nurture cross functional & cross manufacturing site relationships in a large & matrixed organization.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in engineering/science or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 7 years of program managerial experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

    Nice to Have

    • Advanced degree in engineering/science or a related discipline
    • Medical Device product development or operations experience in catheter development.
    • Experience as a Program Manager leading large scale new product development programs.
    • Proven Operations experience with depth of knowledge and technical understanding of product concept through to commercialization.
    • Program Management experience DRM DFSS or Six Sigma Black Belt experience.
    • Proven ability to navigate a complex matrixed organization and deliver projects on time.

    Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$170400.00 - $255600.00

    This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

    The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
