You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPerforms administrative and professional work managing comprehensive programs for the development and maintenance of municipal parks neighborhood centers and recreation programs and facilities. Responsibilities include the planning design construction and maintenance of public parks and recreation areas and the operation of neighborhood centers and recreation programs and facilities. Work is performed under the direction of the Families Parks and Recreation (FPR) Deputy Director. Performance is reviewed through conferences reports submitted and evaluation of Division accomplishments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Parks Administration Horticulture Recreation Public Administration Human Services or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in planning constructing and operating municipal parks neighborhood centers and recreation facilities required; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Valid Drivers License required. Florida Recreation and Park Association (FRPA) Professional Park and Recreation Administrator Certification preferred.
