Job Description

Senior Trust & Estates Paralegal

Location: Middletown DE

Position: Full Time In-Office Monday through Friday 8:30 am 5:00 pm

Compensation: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Agile Legal is a fast-growing company that provides legal support and services to businesses funds and law firms. Our goal is to provide clients with successfully completed projects on time mitigating risks and giving them peace of mind. Our team includes licensed attorneys senior paralegals and dedicated legal professionals who work together to give clients the services and business outcomes they need to free up the time capacity and attention needed to lead and direct legal projects and meet objectives.

Heres what an ordinary day of work might look like

  • Assist with the initial drafting of estate planning documents
  • Interview clients and gather information to prepare wills and trust documents
  • Prepare trust administration documents such as trust certifications allocation of assets and all documents related to asset transfers to beneficiaries
  • Prepare petitions for probate trust-related documents pleadings and declarations
  • Prepare beneficiary and creditor notifications
  • Prepare asset inventories and estate counting
  • Assist with trust accounting and funding
  • Assist in the preparation of federal estate and gift tax returns
  • Manage probate dockets
  • Recording deeds with accompanying transfer documents
  • Organize/index documents
  • Direct communication with clients and client advisors
  • Comply with and understand company operations policies and procedures
  • Keep confidentiality of client and clients client matters
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful

  • 5 years of current job experience with Trusts & Estates
  • Trust administration is preferred and Probate experience is required
  • Knowledgeable experience in other areas such as Litigation Bankruptcy Real Estate or Family Law is preferred.
  • Must be teachable and open to learning other jurisdictions
  • Must be able to adapt to change
  • Experience with one or more software platforms
  • Solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Competent with Adobe Acrobat Pro
