Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic energetic and effective Great Start Readiness teacher. Looking for a highly collaborative and an effective communicator both using verbal and written skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with ZA ZS or ZO endorsement.
High Scope curriculum and COR assessment training preferred.
Current certification in infant child and adult CPR and first aid training.
Demonstrate experience with preschool children ages 2-5 years.
Ability to communicate and relate to young children teachers parents and office staff.
Demonstrate skills in fostering parent-school partnerships.
Willingness to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge.
Enthusiastic personality and evidence of initiative.
Essential Functions
Develop daily lesson plans for students that align with the High Scope Curriculum and Head Start/Great Start Readiness program guidelines.
Coordinate delivery of instruction preparation of materials and classroom management with paraeducator(s).
Use technology to record student progress.
Develop individual learning plans for identified students.
Conduct home visits and conferences with students parents/guardians.
Responsible for physical social and emotional welfare of all of the students.
Attend staff meetings conferences and inservices as required.
Work with paraeducator(s) to maintain material equipment and facilities as required by Child Day Care Licensing.
Utilize COR assessment to document student developmental status and progress.
Participate in ongoing staff development opportunities.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Director/Instruction Department.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelors Degree or higher preferred
LANGUAGE MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS:Ability to speak and write to apply mathematical concepts to practical to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
