Job Description
- Drive the full product development lifecycle including product mold and fixture design while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align strategies and meet cost quality and innovation goals. Monitor progress identify risks and ensure successful delivery.
- Support the development and execution of innovative R&D strategies that align with long-term goals and market trends. Encourage creative thinking and problem-solving within the engineering team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency standard work applications and overall manufacturing effectiveness.
- Manage capital equipment projects to ensure effective utilization of resources in support of production goals.
- Create and maintain quality plans documentation procedures and material specifications. Work with government agencies to ensure compliance with product and workplace regulations.
- Collaborate with Production Quality and other departments to achieve long-term manufacturing goals and maintain high standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Support the development and maintenance of tooling and fixtures; assist with product design as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering required; advanced degrees in Engineering or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of proven manufacturing or industrial engineering experience (no new graduates)
- Hands-on experience with process improvement Lean methodology and capital equipment management
- Strong project management and team leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align teams and stakeholders
- Strong supervisory analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven solutions-oriented approach
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; CAD experience required (Inventor strongly preferred)
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer
- Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility to oversee operations
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds
