Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated SENIORAUTOMATION PRODUCT LINE ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa Italy. We are looking for a technician with experience (at least 10 years post-graduation) in designing Automation software systems for all phases of the life cycle and in managing and coordinating teams.

Accountabilities
- Analysis and definition of software systems architectures
- Selection of the most appropriate technologies for the context
- Planning of activities
- Design and implementation of software components
- Managing the testing and deployment of software components
Required Skills/ Knowledge
- Knowledge of software design methodologies (agile methodologies DevOps Test Driven Development Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery Object Oriented Analysis)
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker Docker swarm)
- Knowledge of technologies for building cloud-native systems
- Knowledge of Javascript NodeJS HTML/XML HTML5 JSON Java languages
- Knowledge of graphical Javascript tools (Angular-9 AngularJs Bootstrap)
- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle PostreSQL MariaDB) and no-sql (MongoDB Redis)
- Knowledge of Version Control systems (git svn)
- Thorough knowledge of Linux operating system (RedHat Ubuntu)
- Ability to estimate and plan software development activities
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
- Experience in the implementation of applications in rail and metro automation
Education/Qualifications
- Masters degree in computer science software engineering or equivalent degree
Languages
Proficiency in English
