Job Title: Clinical Instructor & Director of the Pediatric Refractive Surgery Service

Job Summary:
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU-SOM) has a part-time (0.25 FTE) clinical instructor position available. This position will also serve as the director of the pediatric refractive surgery service. This position would be working directly with Dr. Emily McCourt partnering with her based on needs at the Pediatric Ophthalmology clinic at Childrens Hospital Colorado.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for direct patient care at the CHCO in medical and surgical management of ophthalmic pediatric disorders and strabismus
Work Location:
Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora CO

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Completion of an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
Must be Board Certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
Must be fellowship trained in pediatric ophthalmology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise and interest in retinopathy of prematurity is preferred.
Interest in pediatric refractive surgery is preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management of pediatric ophthalmic disorders is required.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Annual Salary: $75000
Leadership Stipend: $20000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
