This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Supervisorand is based on-site in Deer Park NY with regular travel to customer locations.

As an Aftermarket Electrical Controls Engineer you will:
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and controls issues on existing packaging equipment.
- Provide technical support to field service technicians and customer service teams.
- Design and implement retrofit solutions including schematic updates and control system upgrades.
- Travel to customer facilities as needed for installation support system diagnostics and retrofit implementation.
- Assist in documenting changes and creating updated schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Program and modify PLCs HMIs and servo systems to enhance machine functionality.
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to analyze recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.

Base Salary Range: $105000 - $120000
If this sounds like you we want to connect!
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2 years of experience with electrical controls systems ideally in the packaging or automation industry
- Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred)
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical and control panel schematics
- Willingness to travel domestically for on-site customer support (approx. 2540%)
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working directly with customers and field teams
Preferred:
- Experience with retrofit projects or aftermarket support in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with UL NEMA and CE standards
- Knowledge of servo motor systems and industrial networking
