Job Description
Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
- Cost Management: Assist in monitoring project costs budgets and forecasts and support the implementation of cost control measures.
- Contract Familiarity: Interpret contracts related to planning and scheduling ensuring all project activities comply with contractual obligations.
- Construction Drawings: Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to support effective project planning and execution.
- Metrics Development: Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess project performance and progress.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status schedule performance and potential risks to project management and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers engineers and procurement to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues impacting project schedules and costs and propose mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls processes and tools enhancing overall project performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Controls Engineer specifically on data center projects.
- Strong familiarity with contracts as they relate to planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in developing metrics to support project performance analysis.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
