Job Description
We are currently seeking anAssociate Engineer Aerothermal Fluidsto join us at our Defense Headquarters located inHuntsville AL.
Essential Functions:
- The Engineer will assist with Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics analyses of solid rocket propulsion systems and related components.
- Assist with performing thermal and fluid dynamics analysis of solid rocket propulsion systems and components under supervision of senior engineering staff.
- Emphasis will be on analysis requiring knowledge of Thermodynamics Heat Transfer and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
- Prepare analysis models conduct analysis and review analysis results with the senior analysts.
- Assist in reducing engine test data to validate results of analysis models.
- Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews.
- Assist in preparing technical reports documenting all analysis activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Coursework in Thermodynamics Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics
- Strong academic track record of success.
- Knowledge and experience with aerospace product development efforts a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word Excel and PowerPoint) is expected.
