This role is part of Alcons Supply Chain function a team that manages the logistics inventory management and supply chain analytics for Alcons industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.
The Associate II Warehouse & Distribution Operations (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for supporting daily warehouse and distribution center operations optimizing storage and material flows and coordinating logistics. Specifics include:
Apply specialized knowledge to support daily operations of warehouses and distribution centers
Optimize storage space and material flows to ensure safety and efficiency
Assist in coordinating and executing inbound and outbound logistics activities including coordination with warehouses and other relevant parties
Manage inventory and coordinate shipments while maintaining accurate records
Follow established procedures with some decision-making authority
Ensure attention to detail and reliability to impact efficiency and effectiveness of operations
Consolidate all Finished Goods from Production
Ensure Finished Goods are stored according to defined procedures
Arrange shipment of Finished Goods with 3rd party forwarders to the Distribution Center
Coordinate sterilization of Finished Goods with 3rd parties and subsequent shipment to the Distribution Center
Monitor and ensure daily compliance with Storage Environment controls
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
Degree in Science or Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management.
Strong command of English (speaking and writing)
In-depth knowledge of warehouse import/export regulations.
Well-organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
Familiar with SAP
All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) maintaining accurate and complete documentation ensuring rigorous quality control and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
