Description

RPO Recruitments client a well-established construction company in the Western Cape is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Tenderer/Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team and play a critical role in securing and delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive civil tenders
  • Analyse project specifications drawings and contractual documents
  • Prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates using industry-standard software
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and quotations
  • Identify and evaluate tender risks opportunities and value engineering options
  • Liaise with clients consultants and internal stakeholders during tender clarification stages
  • Attend tender briefings and site visits as required
  • Manage all commercial aspects of awarded projects
  • Monitor project costs and budgets reporting on cost variances and profitability
  • Prepare and submit monthly valuations progress claims and variation orders
  • Review and negotiate contracts subcontracts and procurement terms
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company policies
  • Support project teams with financial planning forecasting and cost reporting

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Building/BTech in Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in civil construction with a strong track record in tendering and quantity surveying
  • Proven experience in earthworks bulk services stormwater pipelines or related civil infrastructure
  • Excellent understanding of local construction regulations SANS standards and contract law (e.g. JBCC GCC FIDIC)
  • Proficiency in estimating and QS software (e.g. CCS Candy WinQS BuildSmart)
  • Strong analytical negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior staff
  • Drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites when required
