Job Description
This Respiratory Therapist position requires floating between two critical access hospitals Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville and Providence St. Josephs Hospital in Chewelah. The role involves providing respiratory care to patients requiring weekend work on an every-other-weekend basis. A block schedule is utilized with a patient-to-therapist ratio of 1:3. This is a travel position and 48-hour work periods are not approved.
- Floating between two hospital locations.
- Maintaining patient charts and records.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Performing respiratory treatments and procedures.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and respiratory status.
- Educating patients and families about respiratory care.
- Managing respiratory equipment and supplies.
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends every other weekend.
- Ability to float between two hospital locations.
- Experience with various respiratory equipment and modalities.
- ACLS certification.
- NBRC credentialing.
- Floating between two hospital locations is required.
