Open Telemetry & Go

1. 5 to 8 years of experience
2. Go Programming (Golang)
   • Strong experience in writing Go modules specifically for Open Telemetry.
   • Familiarity with Go idioms concurrency and performance optimization.
3. Open Telemetry Development
   • Deep understanding of Open Telemetry architecture including instrumentation exporters and OTLP protocol.
   • Experience building custom components or extending Otel SDKs.
4. CI/CD & Packaging
   • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for deploying Otel agents or collectors.
   • Experience with tools like GitHub Actions Jenkins GitLab CI or CircleCI.
   • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for rollout automation.

Observability Concepts

1. • Understanding of metrics logs and traces.
   • Experience integrating Otel with observability platforms (e.g. Prometheus Grafana Splunk Jaeger).

System Integration

1. • Ability to work across diverse environments (VMs containers cloud-native apps).
   • Experience with telemetry from middleware databases and infrastructure layers.

Collaboration

1. • Working with platform engineering DevOps and SRE teams to implement observability solutions.

Documentation & Communication

Writing clear technical documentation for Otel modules and deployment processes.
