Job Summary
What will you be doing
The Role
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with a strong background in rotating components for electric motor systems. You will contribute directly to the design and development of cutting-edge aerospace and high-integrity products working from concept through to certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical design of rotating components for electric motors.
- Designing with metallic composite and electrically machined materials.
- Development of complex test rigs (experience with DSD-type setups is highly valued).
- Creation of tooling designs for industrial manufacturing environments.
- Supporting certification activities in line with industry standards.
- Hands-on product design and problem-solving in a high-integrity environment.
- Utilising Siemens NX for CAD modelling and design tasks.
Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in rotating components within electric motor systems.
- Aerospace industry background preferred or similar high-integrity sectors.
- Strong practical understanding of tooling design in an industrial environment.
- Familiarity with industry certification processes.
- Proficient in NX Siemens CAD software.
