Part time Domiciliary support worker- Wigan

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Domiciliary Support Worker to join our team in Wigan United Kingdom. As a domiciliary support worker you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

• Assist service users with personal care tasks including bathing dressing and grooming
• Support with medication management ensuring prescribed medications are taken correctly and on time
• Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
• Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment when required
• Monitor and report any changes in service users health or wellbeing to the care coordinator
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Companion calls
• Domestic support around the home
• Access to your own motor vehicle motorbike or bike

Qualifications :

• Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities
• Basic healthcare knowledge and understanding of person-centred care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform care tasks and assist with mobility
• Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar role is preferred
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification is desirable
• First Aid certification is advantageous
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to protecting vulnerable adults
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle may be required for some positions
