The Job Mission
This is a hybrid role open to those within commutable distance of Bridgwater or willing to relocate with support from a small relocation allowance.
As a Junior Piping Configuration Engineer youll support the accurate management of piping design from early planning through to installation. Youll be guided by senior colleagues while gaining valuable experience in a high-profile engineering environment.
- Support reviews of design maturity and readiness for construction activities
- Work with senior engineers to maintain accurate piping configuration records
- Track design changes and open points to ensure timely resolution
- Assist in preparing and updating technical documentation for handovers
- Liaise with project managers engineers and contractors to share accurate data
- Help administer digital tools used to manage configuration and design data
- Provide input into regular engineering meetings and progress reviews
Qualifications :
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- Basic knowledge of piping systems design or configuration processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Desired Skills
- Placement or early experience in engineering or industrial projects
- Familiarity with technical drawings or design documentation
- Understanding of design change management processes
- Interest in progressing within large complex engineering projects
